Quick Start Guide

Defaults for Jade Networks products,
IP : 10.0.100.1, Password : jade
or
Connect a monitor and a keyboard to the device and boot device in "Reset to defaults" mode and follow the instruction on screen.

Note : Change the default password as soon as possible.

Minimal requirement for all Jade's software. Windows 2k and up.
Install Viprin.exe on your windows computer, follow on screen installation interactions.

Connect to your Gateway device with Gateway.exe.

Changing the IP address via Gateway.exe
Connect the your device, click menu/Tools/Change IP address.

Configure Wan Side. click Menu/Config/Add Remove IP.
Click on Wan button
Select Wan config as Static, Dhcp or Pppoe.
Fill the required info,
For Static, enter IP address, netmask and gateway as needed.
Pppoe, enter login name and password.
ie: login = > johndoe@YourIspDomain.com

Manage Dns Servers

click Menu/Config/Dns Management
Type in Dns IP address and click Add. You can add multiple Dns IP address as wished. Click Done.

Security Fechers

click Menu/Security/Remote Access
Select from where incoming connections are allowed.
If you have selected the port that you are connected to, the device will block you from connecting. No worry, if so the device will automatically revert to previous configurations.

Security

Lan configurations are basically the same as for the Wan. One option more is available, multiple IP addresses can be added to a single port and build new routes if wished/needed.

Note: You cannot manage the nic/IP that you are connected to.
First, configure another nic or add an IP address, then connect to that new IP.

Manage Ports
Enabling / Disabling / Start / Stop ports.
Click Menu/Config/Manage Nics
Manage WLB Ports

Routing
Multiple uplink routes can be created.
Click Menu/Config/Routing or ctrl+r
Type in the IP address and select mask.
All uplinks are available in the Gateway drop down box, select.
